[38] Love from San Francisco!! ♥♡♥♡

Just a short post today as I'm still on vacation haha... typing this straight from my hotel room haha... so exhausted x3

Although my stay here im California is short, I'm enjoying every moment of it. It is such a beautiful city! Love the classic architecture of the houses ^^ I did venture around union square as suggested however I found some of my favorite boutiques, shops and restaurants around the area of North Beach and Japantown. I'm very excited to do a detailed write-up on my trip but I'll wait until I get back to Canada ^^ Hope you guys can wait too~

Just a few things to note about from my mind...

• Our various "encounters" with Americans (Some funny, some amazing, some odd) Kelvin said we stood out too much... perhaps we looked too.. "fob" @@; (Fresh off the boat? ...do we? haha i assume it's just my hair colour though)
• For the first time in ages i tried McDonalds @@ "for fun" ... Fish McBites ... Dx *facepalm /regret
• listened to boyfriend ramble on about life and travel precautions during our long car rides (He took many precautions for this trip... mapped out San Fran with all the "Go" and "No-go" areas haha and told me all the creepy stories he's read online about certain parts of town)
• Drove across the famous Golden Gate Bridge (there's a funny story behind this @@)
• visited Angelic Pretty, Black Peace Now, h.Naoto and Baby the Stars Shine Bright store ... (Lolita and VK type brands)
• our stay at Hotel Majestic...is/was quite CREEPY
• got a speeding ticket ):
• enjoyed amazing seafood!

There's so many funny things that happened during our road trip~ I also bought a few memorable things too...

Tomorrow we're off to Portland for a bit of shopping and then back to Seattle for the night. I'll be back home in Vancouver on Sunday... i actually miss home....and my mom's daily homemade soup QuQ haha

[37] Bonjour! ♥ Purple fever~ { Valentine's week }

I thought i would post earlier but it ended up like this again... my apologies "orz

I've recently fell in love with street style ... i finally caved in for the neons. I think the bag started it all... and now i cannot stop.... D8

Kelvin says the outfit would look better without the tuque (In Canada, a beanie / hat like the one you see above is called a tuque) but i think it's a statement piece so i kept it on hehe. I never listen anyways haha...not when it comes to fashion xD

♥ Valentine's Day ...eer "week"

I made pink chocolate chip pancakes with whipped cream, organic strawberries and extra maple syrup! It was super yummy ^^ <3 Haven't had pancakes in a long time hehe~

I spent my day at work (so busy!), at school (midterm) and luckily i had time for dinner with Kelvin. We went to one of our favorite places, Guu!

I'm tired of being depressed so it's time for a change. Thank you so so much for the emails an inboxs that i've received about my last post. I'm sorry if i worried you guys. And to answer the most inboxed question... no i'm not stressed about my relationship. Of course there's ups and downs in every relationship but i've had it pretty well in that aspect. My concern is more about my family and career ... i don't want to elaborate further. It's just really bad stuff. Although i didn't have much will to reply at the time, I've read them all and i appreciate that you guys care. I will definitely reply before i go on my trip on monday . Definitely. lol.

If it weren't 3:30am right now i'd be showing you guys more photos of the recent buys.. and lash reviews D8

Unfortunately i didn't end up buying the camera i mentioned before... it's too expensive QnQ ...so i will just make do with my cellphone haha. Better than nothing perhaps?

Maybe take them on my trip to California? ... :) You guys mentioned Union square or something? OK! WILL GO hehehe... Thanks for reading.

[36] Ten .. fifteen.. years too early for a mid-life crisis :(

I really wanted to review the lipsticks i bought during my past haul and perhaps post up some recent food art ....just post about all the good stuff. But i just can't tonight.

Honestly speaking, i've been so depressed the past few days. Lack of motivation to keep going. I'm usually very optimistic but ever since 2013 started i've been hit with nothing but bad news and bad luck. Make that really bad news and really bad luck. I feel like everything's such a wreck right now... so much stress and disappointment  It was to the point that i actually broke down the other day because i felt like i couldn't do it anymore. I feel like i cannot do the things i love and am stressing so hard to make things work. To make anything work. Fortunately, I love my family and my friends.. and if they weren't there for me i think i would really be having a mid-life crisis right now. Being happy suddenly became a thousand times harder than i thought i would be. There are things i cannot talk about. It's complicated. I'll leave it at that. /sigh

Luckily the only thing that seemed to pull through is my upcoming plans for reading break...

I'm going on a road trip to San Francisco, California! I've never been there before so this is very exciting for me. I really just want to relax for the week and get back into my usual happy self. Let me know if there's anything there that is a "must-see" or "must-do" ~ Or any good shopping/restuarants x3 I'm super excited! Can't wait to glam up and party in California...

Don't worry, i'll type up something more proper post perhaps during lunch tomorrow (and get back to replying your emails/messages!) . This is just a "transition" post.

On to the recent mini haul hehe...

I'm super excited to review my new YSL lipsticks soon... i've never really invested in lipsticks before (because my lips tend to be dry and they usually don't last long for me anyways D: ) but after i realized a good method to exfoliate and maintain supple lips .. i'm in LOVE with lip sticks. These YSL ones are just amazing.

The other day my coffee mug leaked and left a horrible stain in my work bag. It was finally time for a new one hehe. When i was shopping i immediately saw this gorgeous blue Furla bag and fell in love! They came up with a new  "Candy" rubber satchel line. The colour is just amazing!

I 've watched the first two episodes of "The Carrie Diaries" which is supposedly the new hit series on the CW which is a prequel to "The Sex and the City". Same fictional character but rewinding back to the 80's (So much love for the fashion back then!). It's about the trials and errors in love, sex, friendship and life. It has a big of a Gossip girl meets The Hills meets 90210 feel. I have high hopes for it!

I was very excited when my puffy 3 tones arrived in the mail. The design looked fantastic and i heard some positive reviews from friends about it. I purchased it from a very reputable website and also made sure it was authentic. Everything seemed fine until i tried them on.

When i looked into the mirror i almost scared myself.

The lenses were horrible! D: They... didn't match up on the surface of my eye so even if i look in one direction the contacts will not follow. They just kind of 'sat' near the bottom of my eye. Wonky-looking. The design... the colour was quite opaque in an odd way that made you look unnatural. I immediately took them off.

Looking at the lenses and feeling sad that they were not what i hoped for, i tried them out once again to see if maybe there was something I myself was doing wrong. The same thing happened. This time, however, i kept them on for another 15 minutes and finally i could see some progress. The contacts were slowly, ever so slowly, adapting with my eyes. After a two hours i had to take them off though because they started to cause irritation. Shame, they were quite pretty... for an hour at most. I really just can't recommend them though. Uncomfortable and odd.

Nice design right? ... Unfortunately they looked like this for the first 15 minutes.
