I think this is probably going to be pretty shocking in relation to my previous post but i'm now in a relationship. The timing...is quite ~~off~~ weird and i expected to be single for a looong time. ~~Give me at least a year or so lol~~. But there was just something interesting about this kid LOL.

It was really...odd when i met Kelvin. It seemed like we already knew each other for years @@We are so similar..yet so different at the same time. So i thought i'd give it a try.

To be honest i really wasn't expecting this....I don't do long distance.

Why am i blogging about something so personal? Because... well...

I write what i feel like writing...and what i think is worth writing.

Don't worry, i won't be feeding you guys the nitty gritty, i'm not like that. Just a general understanding is enough.

Though I have to admit...

He said he would eventually move back to Vancity, and visit me often until that happens. Truthfully i didn't believe him. Guys are such liars LOL.

Shortly after i got ~~suckered~~ into this LD relationship, he flew back to Ontario (school started) :(

Only to miss me so much//wahaha

by flying back to Vancity 9 days later just to see me again :)

I don't really expect much from him... so when he did that ..it made me so happy QnQ He is so sweet.

I wanted to surprise him too.

So i booked my flight for Ontario.

It was suppose to be a surprise.

Until i found out he wanted to come back during that time to see me again.

Imagine. For reading week i fly over to Ontario.

And he flies over to Vancouver.

Both intending to surprise each other.

We are so silly haha.

Anyways, enough of that...

I guess you are probably waiting to see me do another giant post about fashion or hair or food or something...

Unfortunately i'm not. &I really need to say thanks to my loyal readers for sticking with me even though my posts are soooo random and inconsistent.

So, for those who found me on facebook probably already have a clue.

I broke up with my boyfriend of two years a couple of days before my 21st birthday. It was time to let go... and he accepted it. I have to admit, out of all the relationships i've witnessed (friends etc.) this has to be the most peaceful break up. We just don't have the same chemistry as we did a year back. At least i didn't feel it anymore. We thanked each other for the time and then it was over.

*exhale*

I feel ...free now. Surprisingly...i'm happier where i am..

/aside from that. I'm currently in a weak state due to ongoing fever etc... it's horrible. i'm 89lbs..it's like karma lol. But i'll take it.

Image Layout Errors

I've finally made the move to a new domain & fixed my layout problem :) It took roughly 4 days of terror from blogger, enom, and godaddy.com to do so. This probably doesn't concern most of you but i'm sure it would be helpful to the unlucky few who've caught the bug. For those who didn't, skip and ignore this.

Technical help to those using blogger:
Some of you may have found a little bug in the blogger system. One day your layout looks fine. The next minute...BAM your header image looks like complete crap. You didn't touch anything but your life is now in hell. No matter what you do (resizing, reformatting, using a different file host, unchecking the resize option)

What is the solution?
Update your browser (Google Chrome), remove the image, and reupload it.

This took me so long to figure out as it didn't work on IE, Firefox, safari... what the hell right? There you go.

Luminous Change Eyelash Review

Popular in Popteen, Egg and Vivi magazine... i've decided to try these bottom lashes. Up close, the quality looks less than average. The lashes are a bit too vibrant even for me. They are a lot more obvious than the Jewerich ones. They look okay in photos but in person... i would probably only wear them on a night out haha.

I had quite high expectations for Shu Uemura's Skin Purifier Cleanser in Cherry Blossom. It's conditions the surface and doesn't dry out the skin but it really...sucks at it's job. It doesn't cleanse as well as i thought it would. As much as i would love to say good words for it's conditioning... i can't. A cleanser is supposed to cleanse. And this didn't. In reality...i don't feel much difference whether i use it or not @___@;;; It's kind of expensive as well... price ranging from around $65-100 depending on where you purchase from.

Bottom line? It's nice, but not necessary.

I love Lush's 'Angels on Bare Skin'! It's a reallly good and gental facial exfoliater. My new favorite^^ It does have a herbal smell to it but it's not too strong. You really only need a coin size amount each time. My skin is super soft and clean afterwards, i recommend it!

I LOVE THESE HEADPHONES! Fashionable and keeps my ears warm wahaha...

Bobbi Brown's Creamy Duo Concealer in Porcelain. I loved it when i first applied it to my face.

A couple of years back i stumbled upon a bittersweet novel called "Never Let Me Go" written by Kazuo Ishiguro.

Kazuo Ishiguro's 2005 novel, Never Let Me Go, was a Man Booker Prize finalist, the same prize that Ishiguro won for his 1989 novel, The Remains of the Day. Lynn Nutwell, a reviewer for School Library Journal,described Ishiguro's writing in Never Let Me Go as elegant and recommended the book for its "literary merit" as well as for it being a good medium through which to discuss the "controversial topic" of civil rights of human clones.
Yes, this is a futuristic story about human clones who are raised for the sole purpose of donating their organs to so-called normal human beings who come down with incurable diseases such as cancer. The clones are raised without fully being aware of their roles in life. They suspect that they might be different from those of the outside world—the world outside of the schools in which they grow up. -eNotes

I easily fell in love with the novel. It wasn't until recently that i found out it had already been turned into a movie. I prefer the book over the movie but the cinematic portrayal of the children's lives... was pretty well done. Some of the scenes...the angles were just beautiful. It didn't move me like the book did, however it was very easy on the eyes. I recommend it for anyone that loves complicated life/romance novels :)

Christmas is coming!!!

I was going to blog earlier but for i became ill....a few days earlier before my test. My immune system really sucks.The horror story of my life.

Back on topic... i've been saving up some extra earnings for this holiday season. Aside from holiday shopping for friends and family....I'm planning to go all out before Christmas!! As many of you may know, a lot of my fashion styles/taste are inspired from gal/gyaru magazines (aka Popteen, Egg, Jelly, etc.) I felt i was always missing...the hair volume and of course nails! I'm extremely excited to get Japanese braid in extensions^^ Most likely going to happen early December. I'll try to take some before & after photos wahaha~~

Evan went back a few weeks ago to Taiwan for business QAQ It's kind of sad to see Vuitton waiting by the door everyday for him to come back. Sighh~ At least it's only for a month so it's not that bad :3

He calls me every other day...

Usually telling me about how delicious and inexpensive the meals are over there ;A; i like food too... haha

Summary: HORRIBLE MOVIE, BUT YOU JUST CAN'T STOP WATCHING. Seriously addicting in all the wrong areas haha. Why?

Lan Kwai Fong is a real and pretty famous party district in Hong Kong. It's where everyone gathers to have a drink and engage in the night life. The story revolves around the clubber Steven who meets the new girl Jennifer... and stories of their friends intertwined. Can't say any more because there's so much happening at every corner. You just have to watch.

Put all the pretty actors in one movie, add in the clubbing scene, add in real-life scenerios...and BAM, you have 喜愛夜蒲. LFK gives you the players and the game. You're going to hate it, but you just can't stop watching it.

I can't say this for all Asian clubs, but many of them... are pretty much summed up in this movie. That's why it's kind of hilarious to watch. If you've never been clubbing, then this might add to what you already know. If not, and you already find yourself relating to the movie...then welcome to the club.
To sum it up, clubbing is exactly...

What exactly have i been doing for the past 3/4 weeks? What kind of horrifying things were preventing me from blogging? from socializing? from the internet?

MIDTERMS.

Oh, the death of me.

I had planned for such a wonderful halloween...with intentions to sew my costume and everything.

As you may have guessed, things didn't work out for me. It was midterm after quiz after midterm after quiz after assignment. No. break. at. all. I spent much of my time at the library secluded from the world QAQ I had a midterm ON HALLOWEEN AT 930 in the night. So sad hahaha

After missing all those parties, clubbing events etc. and instead stay at home. Drink tea and study day and night. I don't want to jinx it but i think i'm doing pretty well in my tests lately. Hard-core studying really pays off.

I also dyed my hair back to a darker medium brown colour a couple weeks ago. Now, however, the colour has practically faded back to a dark ash blonde. I'm getting quite used to this colour now haha~

The other day my friend Sharon wanted to go see a live rock show (performed by local artists influenced by japanese rock) by bands doing various covers. My friend was hosting the event and gave me tickets :3

I mainly went because Sharon told me that her friend, Luke, had an amazing voice haha. That was very true! Although the band was recently formed, they played very well together. Check it out, their band is called Last Serenade and this was just a snippet of their performance.

My favorite of the night was surprisingly the band that played last, Rewrite. I really enjoyed their music and the lead singer also had a great voice. They remind me of a younger version of Ellegarden, my love! It was awsome :)

Which also reminds me...

I have to share the Coldplay love!! Their new song (though fans have probably listened to this for a few weeks now), PARADISE!!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVEEE THESE BATH POWDERS!! I've been using them for the past month and a half .... QuQ my super stress relievers. Helps tone/slim as well for those interested. I especially love the smell of the royal honey milk one (not in photo) and the pink one above.

Very inexpensive eye cream^^ It does a good job of hydrating the eyes. I have yet to see a whitening effect but it's good so far and well worth the money :D

Gardenia by Chanel

I was very lucky to come across this perfume the other day since i usually do not stop by the Chanel counter. Only 25 Chanel locations, 2 in Canada, carried this scent. This is more of a vintage perfume since it was released back in 1925 but that just intrigued me more. It is a very fine and clean scent resembling jasmine and gardenia. It gives off a classy feminine smell with a touch of spice. This first time i tried it, it was too mild for my liking, however after a a good 15 minute wait the scent just blew me away. The only unfortunate part about this purchase is the lasting power ... i find that it wears off after about a couple of hours sighhhh

While i was peeking through a magazine, i found a full page ad of Justin Bieber's new perfume...for women. The thing that surprised me was how much it resembled Marc Jacob's 'LOLA'...packaging-wise. The same colour scheme and the whole idea of a red-purple flower blooming from the bottle is just you know.. haha... @A@;;

I'm thinking about dying my hair back to ash brown. Constant root touch ups are more expensive than when i had brown hair... plus everyone considers my hair golden blonde? D: I stick out way too much haha.. Time for a change soon...

The other day at work during the late afternoon i was cutting some chocolates to sample while conversing with my co-worker friends Jen, Julia and Sten. The store was surprisingly empty (this rarely ever happens).

I turned to Julia and saw her jaw drop.

I almost died.

A man rode his bike into the store.

And hopped off.

During my study break haha... i decided to procrastinate and play with nail art. I dosed a couple of nails with the essie one and then added some nail decoden. Forgive me, my hands are quite dry though since i usually wash a lot of dishes at work haha ^^;; 5 minute manicure haha~~ I wish i could go out and get my nails done at a real salon for 3d nail art but the prices are just ridiculous in Vancouver. Hello, hello, helloween~

I've been quite stressed lately.. due to school and well... life in general haha. I'm getting a headache just by looking at my to-do list @A@;; On the lighter side... i've decided to be little red riding hood for halloween bwahahaha!!! Let's see how this turns out ;)

This came in the mail earlier...

A few weeks ago, i recieved an email from the lovely people of Shoppingholics. It is a company selling mainly contact lenses and various Japanese makeup products. They kindly asked me to do a review on their contact lenses. I ended up choosing "Geo Xtra WT-B22" in blue since the design was nice but there were not many reviews on them. The lenses arrived in roughly 2 weeks^^ The packaging is very cute and they also sent me some gifts along with a thank you card. I recieved a magic hair sheet in black and Barrel style contact lens washer! (which i both find pretty handy)~

Comments: Even though i chose these lenses, to be honest i was soooooo scared to put them on since they were 15.0mm! i've never had contacts this large haha (though i know many people prefer the larger ones). However,, after putting them on, i was very much relieved of my worries. They were not scary big at all~ The best part, they felt very very comfortable. The design was nice and the blue colour showed up well. I wore them to a parties and to work a couple of times for longer hours, very satisfied ^^ ♥♥

Roughly a month ago, my friend and i decided to order tea from abroad. =A= Oh dear, i feel so old suddently haha. I love to drink tea ... especially while eating biscuits. It makes me very calm and satisfied. The ones i ordered smell AMAZING. I couldn't resist getting smokey earl grey and honey bush! (love!) i haven't tried the strawberry one yet but i'm now afriad it may taste a bit artificial. Greg ordered peach green tea and he said it had that funny artificial 'fuzzy peach' taste to it D: I've always bought locally so it didn't occur to me that 3 small tins would cost $50 haha.. kind of expensive. At least i'm not as crazy as Greg, he spent $120+ on tea...xD

We've been thinking about investing in a good protable kettle to bring to school, so nerd right? 8) Well.. this is actually how i am in real life. If i could choose, i'd rather spend my time in a coffee shop and watch dramas on my laptop. To me, that is my peace.

But of course... life ain't that simple.

Now this is the part where i become granny Anna with my perspective in life haha..

I recieved an interesting email of concern from one of you guys. This is a lot different from the usual ones i get... this one concerned life in general.

To summerize the reader's message/question,

"Do you ever get haters? If so, how do you deal with them? I'm starting to blog as well but i've already gotten haters and it's getting on my nerves."

After a few replies back and forth, i decided to ask the reader to allow me to present this topic to you guys.

This is my personal opinion so of course not everyone may agree with me. I think if you're in this problem, you really have to think positively about the situation. If you've gotten a negative comment, think about it more deeply. If this just nonesense? Or is it actual constructive critisim. You must be able to differentiate between the two...i think that is the most important.

To be honest, for someone to put themselves out there online... you kind of have to expect criticism or hate. Sometimes people get afraid of comments. You may get criticisized for something but try to learn from it instead of thinking it is bad. It may just be a good piece of advice ;) However... there may be people who dislike what you have to say or do 'just because'. Maybe you recieved a negative comment for no reason. But if you think about it... as long as there is just one person who is is interested in what you have to say...isn't that enough? As long as there's someone out that respects you for doing what you do then it's worth it, that's what i believe.

Thank you for that one reader for bringing up the topic and i hope some of you can take what i have said with you. I'm very grateful for the emails i get.

As i've mentioned before in a previous post, i am in love with this jumper! It has easily become one of my favorite ready-to-wear's for fall. Very simple but still stylish :D The fabric is a soft knit. Since it is a onesize it is very easy to wear and extremely comfortable^^ I've worn and washed it several times already and have yet to experiance lint or any shrinking :) I had many compliments on this one. Highly recommended, a Mexyshop favorite!!

I have decided to stick to a lighter makeup style (though still sticking to lashes but going towards soft browns) for my school look ^^

So from time to time i would like to share some of my own tutorials and experiments in the future.

I should probably go through some basics but for now i'd like to share a quick tutorial on how to make this halloween pumpkin cellphone strap :D The idea came to mind when i saw the halloween decoration roll in at the store ^^

A simple tutorial with no molds required.

Basic Materials: Poster Colour (yellow, red, green), Air dry clay (Your brand preference), tool (#22 wood detailer), chocolate sauce, strap, ribbon, clay sealer (not shown)

Pumpkin Orange: 2 parts yellow, 1 part red

Green: 3 parts green, 1 part yellow (additional 1 part black if wanting darker)

Roll orange clay and gently pat down until you get this shape

Using tool, gently press/carve lines

Using tool, gently press in face of pumpkin

*For a more realistic look, you may choose to shave some yellow pastels and gently brush on

Carefully fill in face with chocolate sauce

Add small amount of green to top of pumkin

Roll and flatten small pieces of green for leaves

Using hands, smooth out leaves to combine with stem

When dry, use sealer/top coat.

For shiney effect, use transparent gloss (nail polish top coat is ok)

Add strap & ribbon to complete the charm~

Comments: I was curious to try the Almond Brown's because they are part of the ever so famous Princess Mimi series that everyone seems to be raging about (i'm so tempted to get the greys!) however there weren't many reviews on them online. Then i went out an got them...that's when i understood why.

They're not comfortable. The design looked good at first but when i put it on the only visible change that i noticed was an additional black outer ring on my pupils. It was disappointing that the brown didn't show up well. It lasted 2 hours before i decided to take them off. *sadface*

I was excited for a change from my regular eyeshadows and decided to get the MAC Vibrant Grape eyeshadow. I was very pleased with this one as the pigments showed up well and gave a bold highlight to the eyes <3

Most of you don't know, i used to work at the club for a period of time to gain some extra moolah $__$ It's not what you are thinking haha, just coat check :) It was fun and quite interesting haha~ The different types of people that come to the club, the 'regulars' etc. I always loved korean night the most though, the music was especially awesome haha. Fabric NC on fridays are known to attract a large group of asians but nonetheless everyone is more than welcome! We get so many international attendees as well so it gets really interesting :3 Aaaa i miss KOOparty sometimes, the people there are great QuQ Let me know if you are in town and in need of tickets! i can still help you out haha~ Unfortunately my parents thought the work came to be too late at night and believed it to be intruding on my studies so i decided to opt out but it was fun while it lasted~ :D Its been quite some time now but after a few birthday parties etc... i've grown out of it. The concept of clubbing has changed now so i no longer feel the same fun i had when i first started partying. I'm old, jkjk!

The other day i decided it be my last and final night at the club celebrating a friend's bday with one of my besties, Wei~

For those who may not notice, yes, i am wearing a light sweater to a club...didn't try to put on a dress lol xD

I'm guilty of being pretty much inactive for the past two weeks...

Oh, the horror story.

The past two weeks i've been working full-time/possibly overtime. Unfortunately a couple of coworkers have been getting sick (i was down a day as well ==;;) and residing in the hospital from an unfortunate biking accident ( Meg! You worried us so much >XU) On one of the nights, i felt really awful, overwhelmed with fatigue and suddenly felt like throwing up. I almost blacked out on my way to grab an Advil. I was driven to the hospital shortly after "orz Horrible and embarrassing moment. The store has been a little crazy lately, huge chocolate orders for weddings and events.. work work work "orz

Cosplay & Photography

Yesterday, was my lovely and refreshing day off. My gal friend, Sharon (i've nicknamed her Pearface since we were little haha) asked me to join her to go to a local cosplay gathering (Lights & Cameras, hosted by some lovely cosplay enthusiasts). I presume there were 150+ cosplayers and photographers at this event and it was a great turnout. I only had a short time at the event due to our lateness but it was fun~

I was there mainly to take some photos and see some old friends. I don't think you guys have seen me take pictures of other people yet haha? Anyways, here's a bit of a change to the norm:

Some exciting opportunities that i've encountered!
I've heard from KLIP magazine that they may possibly be featuring me in their next months issue xD What's funny is the other day while on my way to work they were taking street snaps downtown and asked me for one QuQ ... I just wished...they had caught me on a normal day instead of me wearing very casual "go-to-work" clothes, but hey, i still very much appreciate the opportunity X3

During the same week, in another "go-to-work" setting, i was stopped by two tall handsome guys representing the popular Korean fashion website, Hiphoper.com, for street snaps as well...what were the chances?

Back to the memo on my outting with Pearface yesterday, i was also asked by a representative from Asian Post Pacific for a possible feature or model shoot QuQ..i was quite shocked since.. i was there to "take" photos... i didn't imaging it to turn out to be the other way around xD
While i was leaving, another photographer who shoots for Crystal Cover Girl, Hong Kong Beauty Pagents and the such asked me for some model photoshoots for his portfolio or possible fashion spreads.

It's kind of like... that feeling... you go to school, work and work, and think that's all there is left in life ...then BAM! Something fun, something different that you've been wanting to try springs up. I just wanted to share my happiness with you guys, hope i'm not over-typing haha...

A quick response to your request on how i do my hair?.. as in bangs etc.
How i cut my bangs (Soft sideswept bangs)

1. Comb your hair straight
2. Consider your preferred bangs length
3. Hold bangs between two fingers
4. Trim hair horizontally while gently pushing across. Cut to desired length

How i flat iron my bangs

Set flat iron to low-medium temperature

Short hair/FAKE BOB

I just use pins. Seperate hair into two, braid starting from desired length (higher for shorter bob etc.), tease and pin. Hairspray for extra staying power.

This was just a very quick video as there aren't that many steps involved in doing my hair..as you can see it's pretty much filmed last minute for fun lol~

...i don't think i'm ever going to get used to making videos with a serious face >XD

HAIR TIPS & NOTES

Want volume?
Blowdry your hair upside-down! You'll definitely see the results! I do this instead of using any volumizing products. I think volumizing shampoo/conditioner/hairsprays are really bad in general. Just because the concept for creating volume for them are to 'frizz' your hair until you get that poof. I really dislike frizzy hair so when i tried out those shampoos/conditioners etc. i felt like it did more damage than anything. The volumizing hairsprays were the worst though, extreme tangles than just looked...horrible.

Losing that healthy look?
To make your hair look healthier without putting guck in your hair... just lightly spray it with heat-resistant hairspray (the ones you use before you curl/straighten your hair with hot tools) It can help bring your hair back to life ;)

How often do you dye your hair? Touch-ups?
I usually dye my whole head every 7/8 months. I do root touch-ups roughly every 4 weeks inbetween. Dying your hair can be super expensive. I also do not recommend at-home dyes just because i feel that you do not get anywhere near the same results as you would in a salon. Plus, it's more damaging as people usuallt don't have the same tools and hair care products that they treat your hair with in salons. Save up for that hair!

How much does it cost to dye your hair at a salon?
It ranges for everyone, everywhere. When i dye my hair, it usually costs $180-200 for a full head (take note that i have long hair) and roughly $80-90 for root touch up ... there goes all my money..

How should i dry my hair?
After washing your hair, towel dry your hair completely. Do not rub the towel back and forth on your scalp, it creates friction.. FRIZZ, FUZZ. Pat it dry on your hair using both hands. Blow dry your hair so that it is still 30% wet. Then leave the rest to air dry ^^
**Do not leave your hair to just air drying. When your hair is wet it is a hundred times easier for it to be prone to breakage and loss of hair :/

Have...LICE?
I've never had it happen to me before, but i've read in an article study a few years back that you can you Cetaphil (the facial cleanser) to wash your hair rid of lice easily :) You basically cover your whole head with the product and using a narrow tooth comb, comb out the lice bit by bit until they are all gone. Clean, inexpensive, and super easy. Magic!

Dandruff?!
Switch to the right shampoo/conditioner that has herbal ingredients capable of countering it. Also, as troublesome as it may sound, blowdry with cooler air... the dandruff/fungus cannot survive in colder temperature ;)

Hair too thin? Loss of hair?
My friend recommended that using Mane and Tails (a shampoo designed for horses but can be used by people) to trigger a regrowth and maintanence of hair. My friend said that one's parent uses it and works quite well.

You bleached your hair BLONDE?
Use...purple shampoo or shampoo designed for coloured hair. Otherwise, your colour will fade in less than a week. Blowdry with cool-warm temperatures to maintain best colour.

Want your hair to smell nice?
Spray a pump of your favorite perfume onto your comb and then work your way around your head. From a distance it is not obvious, and when closer up it is subtle and nice ^^

L'oreal Professionnel Serie Expert - Vitamino Color Conditioner
L'Oreal Professionnel Serie Expert -Vitamino Color Incell Hydro-Resist Color Protecting Gel-Masque Hair And Scalp Treatments

These work amazingly well...in combination. I find that the conditioner and hair mask is a MUST .. better used together (conditioner, lightly) As for the shampoo, i think you can keep to your personal choice as long as it cleans well^^ The vitamino series consists of a very lightweight product with a subtle scent that won't dull or decrease hair volume :)

After using these products, my hair becomes silky smooth... and has a subtle shine to it that makes it look healthy^^ Remember, when using the hair mask, FOLLOW the instructions! do not simply rub on and rinse xD

I've gone through a few curlers in the past and have tried some of my friend's as well but when it comes down to it, these two are my favorite. The both heat up super fast and really give your hair a nice and healthy finishing shine after use! They don't frizz my hair at all ^^ The Babybliss has several temperatue settings and is very easy to handle for its size. I use the 1.5" to create natural looking loose wavy curls and the 1" for more defined volumed curls. Sometimes i like to use them both in combination, the 1.5" for the top layer of hair and the 1" for the bottom layer of hair.

Straightener
1"KQC
My absolute must-have! If i were to travel abroad, i'd have to past this in my suitcase! The KQC is my favorite straightener. Heats up fast with multiple temperature settings. It does the job so well, leaving the hair with a nice and healthy shine. It straightens my hair very well, no damage! It is also what i use to curl my bangs a little ;) LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

MUST WATCH! I highly recommend this one! If you liked 'You're Beautiful' and wanted to see more of this couple, here's your chance 8D Oh, Heartstrings...I hadn't been keeping up with Kdramas lately but this one i just couldn't miss! sometimes i feel like he knows what i'm talking about.

When i ask 'Are you fluffy?', he raises his hand hand and tilts his head... with an expression, 'of course!'

Sometimes he acts like a cat

he walks along the top edges of our sofas.

He licks his hands/feet.

He stretches like a cat.

He cries. A lot.

Vuitton always crys. Actual tears. I have to wipe them from his fur when it accumulates too much.

Sometimes i hear him cry during his sleep.

Sometimes he has nightmares.

In the middle of the night, i can hear him 'grrrr...' while his eyes are closed. His breathing picks up pace and he looks like he's in danger.

Sometimes he feels like super...dog. superdog.

When he goes out to do his thing on the lawn. Sometimes he sprints in a circle as fast as he can... stops, looks at you, and takes a long fart. Then he opens his mouth in a smile like he just climbed a mountain.

He can be so lazy

Q & A regarding my diet and eating habits

One of the most common and reoccuring things that you guys have asked me is...

"What do you eat everyday?"

"How do you keep your figure?"

"How do you become so skinny?"

To start off, as most of you know was born skinny. I inherited the genes from my mom, who is in fact, very skinny. How do i keep my figure? Stay in shape? Even lose a little?

I'm really not sure what the precise thing i do that makes me 'skinny' but i can tell you my eating habits. For one unique fact you may want to understand, i do not exercise. i'm not joking. I haven't had a real exercise/gone to the gym in over 3 years. Now this is not something to be proud of, in fact i find it quite embarassing, however it's the truth. I don't have much muscle in me.. =A= i'm quite frail i guess.

So, cutting to the main part, why do i eat?

JUICE!! Usually i drink one to two glasses of orange juice each day. Tropicana is the way to go :) Get your vitamin C and energy!

I usually eat either a pasta dish or a seafood dish each day. Pasta is good fibre. Certain types of seafood, mainly fish, consists of proteins, minerals and vitamins which help your body grow.

I LOVE CHEESE. Or dairy products in general. I always find myself snacking on bite size cheese and drinking homo or 2% milks gives you the calcium for good bones.

I NEVER drink carbonated drinks. Say goodbye to sodas and fizzies! Sometimes, but rarely, do i treat myself to an icy Coke but those are indeed rare.

DRINK TEA. I absolutely love teas. They are the new 'coffee'. Comes in a variety of flavours, and is very light on calories^^ Take away that large frappacino..if you can...and replace it with some shaken icy strawberry tea! You'll feel the change, i mean it!

I NEVER eat chips/crisps anymore. Sure, its something to munch on, something to do. But cutting this item out of your diet will change a lot.

EAT FRUIT & VEGGIES! Technically, you ARE what you EAT. If you don't want to be made of all pork, beef and animal fat, eat some greens!

Say no to candy.

BUT this doesn't mean you have to say no to a certain food item forever, of course you can splurge a little once in awhile but really try to limit yourself.

I think WHAT you eat and HOW MUCH you eat of it really does affect your figure/weight.

I've been asked many times at work, some of you know i work at a chocolate store, i've been working there for over 4 years...'how do you stay skinny working here? So much chocolate!'.

There's really only one answer... 'RESIST! 8D'.

On more thing...
if you are reading this because you are thinking about losing weigth but is already skinny, just forget it. Honestly, i think many people underthink how bad being underweight is. There is just as much side effects as being overweight. I can't stress this enough. Maybe i'll tell you guys one day why my being underweight really drags the hell out of me. Aim for average! Think smart, don't give into social media.

The other day, i went to a sushi restaurant nearby my work to order lunch. My meal was quite disappointing... for the fact that the restaurant had increased prices ($1-2 more for each meal item) and cutting back on ingredients. Plus, i have never gotten good customer service there before. I usually call in about an hour beforehand to ask for takeout. Usually with these phone calls, if the lady picks up, she tells me to call back later or don't call at all. She hung up on me once as well @__@;; If the guy picks up, you will never get your food on time. BAD/BAD? yes, i know. If only there were more quick and convenient places to get lunch ==;;

Wow, it's been well over a week already @__@; How consistant eh? haha. I've been so exhausted for the past two weeks getting scheduled more hours at work and spending the rest on decoden projects. No sleep, no life, no revenue. I'm so behind as well... missed the premier of Captain America because i was so tired "orz....

A few weeks ago I was contacted by Mexy, an online clothing store, to sponsor me for a few of their products to review. After reading up on their background information, i was surprised to find out a few interesting facts.

The clothing is very affordable, sold at wholesale prices <3 The main thing that stood out to me about this shop though was that all their clothing photos were shot by themselves at their own studios. They do not steal/repost photos from random wholesale sites which is quite common among online Asian fashion retailers lately. They use their own models, photographers and background, which is not an easy thing to do. Their shipping fee is extremely low, a flat rate of $4 for as many items as you want internationally. Even better, it's free over $50. It's quite rare to find a clothing store that allows international shipping at that low rate. It took roughly 2 weeks for the products to arrive at my doorstep^^

The dress feels really comfortable on the skin. I was happy to see that the dress came out exactly as the photo on the site. I specifically chose this one because it wasn't modelled on their site. To be honest, i had never worn a maxi dress before... this was my first time! When i wore it out the other day, i had many compliments on it.. it's a very different look for me, i liked it :)

Bandage Leggings

I LOVE these leggings. No, i'm not sugar coating this review haha... these leggins are quite unique. I think i have seen them on other sites before but was afriad of its quality. These are very comfortable.. made from stretchy material and they shape my legs well :3

Distressed Cardigan in Coral Pink

When i opened the package, i was quite suprised at the amout of grungyness the cardigan gave off. It gives an oversized grunge look with a touch of sweet. I really didn't need to accessorize much with this one because the rugged holes gave off enough attention already haha. I still can't believe how affordable it is xD

Striped Spaghetti Strap Dress in Gray

I'm always missing those 'basics' in my wardrobe.. this dress is very simple but cute. There is a big of unique darting on the lower half that help shape the body figure. Cotton and comfy^^

Overall Comments:The quality of the clothing was a lot better than i expected. The quality is higher than Forever21, and on par with H&M at a price roughly lower than both those stores. Usually with those wholesale sites, it's a hit or miss with the products. I like how Mexy represents itself, having their own models, and their clothes are exactly how it's pictured on the site.

This is going to be a rather quick/shorter post compared to my other entries :) So excited for Harry Potter!!!!!

As some of you may know from reading my older entries, i had purchased and hav been working on some deco den projects. I'm happy to say that i will be having a small sale at MiniComi Vancouver (Primarily a one day event for artists and cosplayers). I don't have much done and everything is still a WIP even though the event is to be held next saturday haha! My supplies arrived late due to the Canada Post strike we had earlier. Comments: At first, i thought i was really crazy to try out a pair of pink lenses. Yes, i still think i'm crazy. They are a lot more natural than i thought they would be though for pink. The rim is not too hard, a soft black/grey colour. From a 2 metre distance, it looks quite brown. My friend commented when she saw me wear them that the colour does show very well when closer up. Almost a little 'vampire...ish' feel to it. A tiny bit creepy, but still on the natural side. The comfort is normal, starts to dry out a little after 4 hours..

A quick update in life:
Pretending i have short hair... haven't taken any snaps like this in awhile. Onto another subject I'm SUPER hyped about Harry Potter!!!! Got my advance tickets ready and am very prepared to see it at the 8 o'clock show with my friends on opening day 8D

BB CREAM REVIEWS

The latest trend in Asia, as many of you know, are BB Creams. BB Cream stands from Blemish Balm Cream which is 'between' foundation and skincare (though personally, i believe it leans more towards foundation/makeup). It is said to be a product that works as a foundation while treating your skin. I believe it was originally produced in Korea for after surgery patients but is now enhanced for everyday wear.

Here is a list of BB Creams i have at hand....
For your interest & reference, my skin colour is #01 Dior [foundation] and i have normal to combination skin type.

[Comments/Recommendations] I've always stuck to Dr.G for its good coverage. It makes redness/discolouration disappear. I find that after 3/4 hours the T-zone will become a bit oily so i highly recommend finishing with powder. The main reason i dislike using it would be the colour (greyish cast) as a result of oxidizing. My concern is that the colour just doesn't blend well with fair skin and therefore i have to mix it with my foundation or a lighter BB Cream to achieve the best colour compatibility.

L'EGERE UV whitening BB Cream SPF 34
[Coverage] Medium..
[Colour] Medium-Dark Yellow Tone
[Skin Type] Normal/Oily
[Comments/Recommendations] This is definitely not recommended for fair skin. The colour, as you can see in my tester example, is meant for darker yellow skin. This product 'claims' to whiten skin, though i have yet to see this happen. The coverage however, is satisfactory. I originally bought this after reading multiple advertisements in magazines and viewing commercials... only to get disappointed at the colour match. It gives my face a rather dark tan look to it. It didn't work well when i tried to mix it with my lighter foundation, it just...didn't work for me.

BRTC Jasmine Water BB Cream SPF 30
[Coverage] Light/thin
[Colour] Light/Fair Pink Tone
[Skin Type] Normal - Oily
[Comments/Recommendations] This BB Cream is meant for fair skin. It blends in very well however there is not much coverage. The product itself is very smooth and as it says in the name, 'watery'. I recommend to blend it with a darker BB cream to obtain the best colour match for your skin if your colour is darker than fair. I find, with my combination skin type, it does dry out my skin a little though.

BRTC Glamorous Sparkling BB Cream SPF 36 PA++
[Coverage] Light to medium
[Colour] Medium Pink tone
[Skin Type] Normal
[Comments/Recommendations] It works almost the same as the Jasmine BB Cream though it has an almost pearl-like finish (reflective shimmer particles) which is meant for the taking photos. The colour is roughly one shade darker (assuming without shimmer particles). I find it makes the skin appear oilier due to the shimmer particles which may also highlight pores/uneven skin...not good. This works best if you use it in very small doses to highlight an area or mixing it with another foundation/bb cream.

Skin79 Diamond Collection Prestige BB Cream SPF 25 PA++
[Coverage] Light to medium
[Colour] Medium
[Skin Type] Normal-Oily
[Comments/Recommendations] I actually think this one is extremely similiar to the BRTC Jasmine BB cream. It blends in very well, with similiar light to medium coverage. The main difference is that this product is made for fair yellow tone skin while the Jasmine water one has a pinkish tone.

Skin79 VIP Gold Collection Whitening Wrinkle Improvement UV Protecting SPF 25 PA++
[Coverage] Light to Medium
[Colour] Medium
[Skin Type] Normal
[Comments/Recommendations] I think this colour is very good for medium fair skin. It provides about the same amount of coverage, if not more, than the Skin79 Prestige BB Cream (in general its characteristics are pretty similar to this product). The main difference is that it is a couple shades darker than the Prestige one.

Skin79 Triple Functions Whitening Wrinkle FREE UV Protecting SPF 25 PA++
[Coverage] Light to medium
[Colour] Medium Yellow Tone
[Skin Type] Normal
[Comments/Recommendations] This product is good for medium to fair skin. The colour is lighter than Dr. G however does not provide 'as much' coverage. Without comparing, the coverage itself if pretty good/satisfactory and blends in extremely well :)

[Comments/Recommendations] This BB cream is CRAZY shimmery. Love it for photos but definitley not for everyday wear. It has a light coverage but is very smooth to blend in. The shimmer is even more powerful than the BRTC Glamorous Sparkling BB Cream, wow.

What i would do to get the perfect colour is to mix the BB Creams or mix the BB cream with your personal foundation to get the colour and coverage you desire. Hope this helps!

BUY A PLUG ADAPTER! I brought along some electrical devices and chargers only to forget that their plugs are different... way different. But you can buy a plug adapter at their convenience stores for about $4 believe? I disliked their non-powerful hair blowdryers haha... xD;

I didn't blog much about the other parts of China (only focusing on HK) but the traffic there is really really dangerous. Don't bring any valuables with you. Don't wear any obvious jewelry or bags. I can't say i really stick to any particular store i guess because it's quite fun to find a pieces from here and there. I like the way you do your makeup and was wondering is it obvious that you're wearing fake eyelashes? I mean can you see your real eyelashes when you wear your fake eyelashes?

I have this problem where when i wear my fake eyelashes it's really obvious to tell my real eyelashes and fake ones. My fake eyelashes curl upwards while my real ones droop downwards even when i tried curling and putting on mascara.
I was wondering whether you could give me tips and advice? Perhaps i'm applying the fake eyelashes wrongly? How do you do yours and if your real eyelashes blend in to your fake ones so it isn't obvious?
Haha my friends have asked me the same thing. I don't curl my real ones(though i know people suggest to). Thi is because i suppose my real asian eyelashes are long but quite thin so they are not as visible unless i put mascara on them. Plus, it kind of gives my eye a shadow effect, making it slightly larger. I've curled my lashes before and i realized my eye looks...not as big as without curling? It might just be me though haha.

Aww i do understand a lot of people want to lose weight. I have many friends who want to lose weight. Thanks a lot for writing this BB cream review, I have been searching for a nice BB cream that would suit my skin tone and this really helped! For example I had been considering Dr. G BB cream and I was confusedbecause some people seemed to find it too dark and other people too light... :--o But now I think that it would likely be too dark for my skin (which is quite fair) which is a pity because many people seem to like it..!
Dr.G is definately good for coverage. But if you have fair skin and don't want to mix bbcream or foundations, opt for the BRTC waterperfect or the skin79 prestige ;)

However, I do not know if they changed packaging or what not.

I've owned 2 Dr.G bb creams throughout the years and they both have the silver cap. I got them from reputable stores so i believe it's unlikely that they are fakes. The silver capped ones i think are the originals. I think the black cap is the newer, limited edition version that Dr.G came out with...

I read the article from the link you gave me, however i believe that people have different skin and different people break out from different products. I used the silver capped Dr. G and never broke out, nor did my friends. But this is just because our skin is compatible with it. I think it is just a change in packaging (after the company has realized its success) Thank you for letting me know though! It's an interesting topic that i hadn't looked into.

NEW HAIR COLOUR

So this is my new hair colour, after spending 5.5 hours in the salon (due to a few waiting intervals). This picture was taken yesterday in the cloudy afternoon...right at the door of my house with the door open. This is the most accurate photo of the colour (since if you were to refer to my snaps, my house has pale yellow walls which makes my photos come out a bit ...different. My hairdresser said that this colour is SO ASH BROWN it is borderline ash BLONDE :) A 'caucasian brown' she says.. haha whatever that means? I absolutely LOVE it. It is my dream colour...however i honestly know that hair colours like these don't last more than 2/3 weeks xD You guys probably won't see much difference in the snaps though, since those are taken inside and lighting will definately change.

Did you think i was gonna dye my hair red? haha that would be awesome though.

For some reason i lost a little bit of weight recently...down to an unhealthy 93lbs. I think it's from the amount of crazy school stress =3= My mom said to me earlier in the week that my jawline is getting more prominent due to shrinking of the facial tissues or something DX It's time to gain some pudding back. Aim for healthy!!!♥♥♥

I'm so burned out. Just finished 3 final exams with a driving test heading my way. Who would've thought the amount of group projects would be so heavily weighted and time consuming this semester!! DX A ridiculous amount of work and stress. This calls for a long lavender soak in the tub yesyesyes =3=;;

;A; after unfortunate neglecting of my blog due to summer school, work and lessons... i'm quite touched by the fact the people would still come to read my blog. It's been a bit over 4 months now. Read and replied to so many interesting comments.

ANTHROPOLOGIE & SNAPS

So they finally came to Vancouver. The buzz worthy clothing & home furniture store recently opened a shop in Vancouver! I've loved their collections for quite awhile but it meant making a trip to Seattle, which is also a good idea, but rather far for impulse shopping. The newly opened shop is located on Granville not far from the urban Jack & Jill.

I couldn't leave without buying anything! It was a rather hard choice between the white and light grey summer cardigan (as seen below) but i ended up getting the white one. It was on sale for $60, what a steal!

Vancouver CANUCKS

As some of you know the Canucks lost to the Bruins, but on a more positive note...we played in the finals! I'm still proud of the team for making it this far.

Onto the news: The aftermath of the game in Vancouver... was definitely frowned upon. The rioting that happened here has brought so much shame that i don't want to blog in depth about this. I would just like to say that those riots were definitely not done by true Canucks fans nor true Vancity people. I assume it was a group of trouble makers that just wanted to take advantage of the game results and got blinded by hate and greed.

Vancouver is such a beautiful city with so many kind hearted and down to earth people. We won't let things like this bring us down. People from all over the world who watched the news let's honestly say that many of us only payed attention to the destruction. Cameras don't show everything. There was a lot of damage. But there were, and still, are people...real people who care. Those are the ones who tried -without any hesitation, without fear for their own safety, and with pride to protect our city. Those people... they deserve so much respect.

We love Vancouver.

Many glass walls from selected stores were smashed. The picture above shows the temporary wood to hold in place until people can come in and replace it. The morning after the riot, many good Vancouver citizens came downtown to help clean up the aftermath. They left messages on the temporary wooden walls to remind everyone who walks by that there are still people in Vancity that cares. I think this is awesome.

DUN DUN DUN......

So... i've been meaning to touch up my roots for quite awhile but have decided to slightly change my hair colour. No... i'm not blonde haha. I've already done that phase once. I didn't think leaving bleach in my hair for 40 minutes would turn my hair...THIS freaky bright. So i decided to take a photo for keepsake. This is just a quick photo i took at the salon right after my base colour was applied (bleach).
